Planning Your Visit

We are not your typical museum! Due to space restrictions and the nature of our work, your experience at the Mattress Factory may be unlike any other you've had at other institutions. The following information is intended to give you an idea of what your visit will look like. We also suggest you visit the Frequently Asked Questions section for more details. If you have any questions, please let us know!

ROTATING EXHIBITIONS

What goes up must come down! Artwork is typically on view for nearly a year at a time, but to create new pieces there are brief periods where museum spaces may not be accessible due to construction. Please check our Exhibitions section carefully to determine what works may be on view during your visit. If you have questions, please call the Admissions Desk at 412.231.3169 for clarification.

Currently, our space at 1414 Monterey Street and parts of 500 Sampsonia Way are closed while we install new work. Our suggested admission prices are adjusted accordingly.
